Ms. Julie is the Lead Teacher in Busy Bees classroom during the school year and 2019 Summer Camp Director. Ms. Julie graduated from Brigham Young University with a Degree in Business Administration. She has been a preschool lead teacher for the past seven years—five of which were as director/lead at another preschool in Herndon, one-year teaching preschool at a local Fitness Center, and one year heading a home preschool program. Ms. Julie is excited to be a part of our team and feels blessed to be teaching preschool. She has years of experience in home daycare and is a proud mother of six children: Aaron, Rebecca, Renee, Kimberly, Daniel, Jacob, and her grandson, Zayden. She has also served as a Sunday-School teacher, youth leader, and nursery leader for the past twenty-six years in her church. During her spare time, she enjoys reading novels, dancing at Zumba, cycling, and spending time with her family. Though Ms. Julie has worked with all ages throughout her life, her true passion is working with preschool-age children.
She is certified in CPR/First Aid, E-MAT and Child Abuse and Neglect. Ms. Julie has certificates from Early Childhood professional training courses and continues to take Child Development-related courses. Her annual requirement as a Teacher is 18 hours of Continue Ed Hours in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Julie is required to have a Physical (every year) and TB test (every two years) completed before the first day of Preschool each new year. She has a Central Registry Release of Information Form done by the Department of Social Services as well as a Background Fingerprints are done every five years.
