Ms. Donna is thrilled to be the Lead Teacher in the Panda Bears. She has a degree in Business Marketing from Hofstra University. Ms. Donna has just begun her 14th year at Community Kids teaching in the 5 day-4-year-old class. Ms. Donna truly loves teaching children! Prior to working at Community Kids Ms. Donna worked at State Farm Insurance handling legal claims for twelve years in PR and customer service. Ms. Donna volunteered for six years at her children’s elementary school and ran the Book Room. She is originally from New York. She has also taught Religious Education in her church for five years and has assisted as a Troop Leader for five years with the Girl Scouts. She resides in Loudoun County with her family and enjoys being part of the community.
She is certified in CPR/First Aid, E-MAT, and Child Abuse and Neglect. Ms. Donna has certificates from Early Childhood professional training courses and continues to take Child Development-related courses. Her annual requirement as a Teacher is 18 hours of Continue Ed Hours in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Donna is required to have a Physical (every year) and TB test (every two years) completed before the first day of Preschool each new year. She has a Central Registry Release of Information Form done by the Department of Social Services as well as a Background Fingerprints are done every five years.
